I installed the FlightDeck Companion for FSX. But when ever i click a sound it says "file not found". I put it in my sound directory folder. Im sure the reason is that the sound directory for fs9 is different. Can somebody explain what i should do to fix it?

There is no difference as far as to where the main sound folder is at between FS9 and FSX so I doubt if that is the issue. It is obvious that you do not have it in the correct place. I suggest you read the read me file that should have come with it it is possible that the file just be in the root folder and not in a folder at all.

But it said "Put it in your main sound directory". Is that not Flight Simulator X\Sounds? If not then why didnt the readme say "Place in root folder"? Altough i will try it.

Ok you are correct that is where the sounds belong did you put them in a folder with in the sound folder
The files should go in the main FS sound folder
