And A-6's, F-14, f-15's, F-4's, F-18's, even a YC-14.  I could go on, cause on the other side they have the B-52's, (its painful to see them all broken up like they are) C-141's, a C-5 or two.  And thats only from memory!  Oh and A-4's a few F-15's.  ok sorry I'll stop..

The Americans probably have more aircraft there than the RAF have in the whole force!

That's an understatement if ever I saw one. http://www.swaviator.com/html/issued00j01/boneyard.html

lol that article is a little outdated!
"One truly unique display, which always draws big crowds, is a large tent covering an SR-71. You can walk right up to and almost touch the ultra-sophisticated “Blackbird.” This is probably the best chance you’ll get to an up close and personal look at the best technology to come out of Kelly Johnson’s “Skunk Works” back in the 60’s."

Almost touch?  They have moved it 2ce since this guy was here, its now in a hanger with absolutely no restrictions on how far away you have to be. If I wanted to I could climb on top of it with no trouble. But thats a one-way ticket to banishment I would assume!

Google earth provides a good view of the boneyard, search for Tucson then move to the south side and its hard to miss, there are two parts to it. Good enough quality to make out almost anything.  Though it is a little outdated.

That's as maybe. As I understand it your quote refers to the Pima Air & Space Museum. I was using the article as an example of how big the Davis-Monthan Boneyard is & how many aircraft are in storage there. I assume that 5,000 isn't far out whereas the RAF has less than 1,500 aircraft in service. http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/waf/uk/raf/ukaf-raf-current-inventory.htm

There are some very good books about this place. I have "Desert Boneyard" by Philip Chinnery (He has written several on the subject). It is full of the pictures I wish I had been able to take Sad
