My local airfield is not included in FS2004, I presume because it is so small. I would like to include it and upgrade it. By upgrade I mean outright copy another airport and paste it in the location where my local airfield should be. I have Aerosoft’s German Airports 1, 2, 3 & 4, about 100+ airports/airfields in total, so one of them will suffice. When I mouse-over one of these airport in FSNavigator, it gives me various information, runway length/surface ILS frequencies etc. It also gives the location of the BGL file on my hard drive, e.g.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\Eure\Scenery\953070.bgl.

Is it possible to copy the necessary files for an entire airport and copy them to another location? If so, how is done?

Praha

Dobry den Praha,

My suggestion to you is to go over to www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/ and  have a look in the
"Scenery" forum. There are a couple of AFCAD-like utilities there that should be of interest to you.

I think FSX Planner may have the ability to pick up an airport and move it. If so, you would then
need to edit the parameters that relate to the original airport...name, IDENTS, etc.
