Finally got my Canon Rebel XTi (400D) and so far I'm loving it
Mainly I love the Depth of field the canon has compared to my old Kodak Z740, I can control it better and see major differences. Then comes the 10.1 MP and the ability to shoot in RAW. I'm happy.
Just thought I would share some photos (no aviation for awhile until I get a ~100-300mm lens) So here it goes:
ummm, any ideas? I'm not really sure what it is.
A lone blossoming flower on a Barrel Cactus
Some type of berry or fruit or something... its only 2cm across.
Tonights sunset
Comments always welcome

I think you'll find the depth of field is the same on all cameras, it's just down to whatever lens you're using.

When your using a point and shoot camera you'll find you cant change the lens, that old one wasn't that good.

Sorry, I don't know every camera so I wasn't aware of the nature of that.

It's a nice one aint it
But remember...the lens is the most important part....no point in a fancy camera if you dont get a good lens, and I'd advise to replace the kit lens if you can as it goes immensly soft....you can pick up a canon 50mm prime for £50 which is 100x better...
For aviation I should imagine the 100-300 isnt much different to my 75-300.....and its very good for a starter lens but it does go soft towards the longer end....once you've taken a few pics with it you'll be wanting something better...
.mic (saving for either bigma (50-500) or Canon 100-400L
)

Np, I hardly think I know 1% of the cameras out there.

I already hate the Kit lens
Unfortunately have very little money so a new lens is a ways off, and I'm going to get the Telephoto before I replace my 18-55mm.
