Lots and lots of great payware (and freeware) stuff to enhance your flight sim is available. But not only does it take quite a few bucks out of your pocket, it also takes up quite a bit of space on the harddrive.
How big are your FSX or your FS2004 sims? all in all.
Personally I have spent somewhere between 300 and 500$ not quite sure exactly how much, on FSX and FS2004 plus addons, and my FSX folder (plus the programs that makes own folders, like FS GLOBAL 2008) is about 60 Gigs. My FS2004 is about 25 gigs or something close to that.
How about you guys?

I've spent nearly $1700 on Payware...Of course, I only choose the best of the best products...Before my 400GB HDD crashesd, FS9 weighed in at around 300GB...I don't know how it got to that colossal size...LOL...At the moment, FS9 weighs around at 16GB...Still retrieving all my licenses from various Payware companies...
Cheers

Not that big I pressume. 19.8Gb. Used to be a lot bigger before the big clean up. Threw away the entire world mesh (saved 8Gb) and a few hundred freeware planes I never used again.

Mine is 27.6 GB. Which reminds me, I have to do a MAJOR cleanup, as my FS has gotten far too large for my (and my 70 GB harddrive's) tastes. My HD has now shrunk to a paltry 8 gigs...

Within the last 6 months or so I have rarely added anything other than any major releases (Aerosofts EGLL springs to mind)
Phhffftttt, who needs FSX aye?

Well it (FSX) is quite good if you can get it to work with good frames (which I can't, really, but I openly accept this).

I use FS9, but you need to know that FS9 is nearly 3GB, I have a mesh of 12 GB and the rest is all other add-ons:
about twenty-six gigabytes, I don't want to wait till he shows the number of files.........
If I didn't clean up many of those free-ware planes I never fly I had about 30...
