Southport Airshow 22/09/07 Part2. (Read 490 times)

From around 10:30am till 1pm yesterday the Southport Model Aero Club where there flying there Various Large Model Aeroplanes,
Sadly i couldn't get any shots of the Jets that they flew, Here's the Shots i did manage to get though:

Fantastic looking models... but the high-pitched, whining engines always turn me off... a Merlin should sound like a Merlin... period!  Wink

Sadly probably a little pricey and heavy for a model though. I'd looked at them a few times myself though, sadly the price, and the engineering/machining skills were beyond me. Smiley

There was a chap in Holland in the early - mid 90s who made some exceptional model engines from scratch, including a V12 and several radials of various cylinder numbers to the highest standards seen. Sadly upon his death he requested they all be destroyed.
