Well after looking at reviews, screenshots, i have been thinking very, very hard on whether to get this or not because i have 2 Heathrows, UK2000 Heathrow Pro & the Freeware package(can't remember where i got it). For some strange reason i prefered the Freeware Heathrow to UK2000 Heathrow Pro, but after seeing Aerosoft's Heathrow 2008 i said to myself "If i buy this, i hope i wont be disapointed" I hope im right because one i have spent crap loads on addons and two, although its $29.48(£14.59) i hope its money well spent and not another waste of money down the drain. What do you people think buy it or wait for UK2000 Heathrow Extreme to be released?

Specs:

AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core Processor 2.4GHz
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4350
500GB Hard-drive
Blue-ray.

No offense to Gary (UK2000) but even his most recent work isn't up to scratch with what Aerosoft have produced. The detail is astounding. And plus, if you get Aerosofts AES (you won't be sorry if you do, its a small investment that goes a LONG way) you can have active jetways, pushback, service vehicles and stairs at EVERY gate. With Gary's it will be only a select few.

The framerates? FS acts as if nothing is there. I get better frames on Aerosofts Heathrow than I do with Gary's Gatwick, and Heathrow is over twice the size (Both times with full AI traffic).

GET IT  Wink  Cool

In MY opinion. FSX won't start being viable until producers of addons cotton onto it. At the moment you can see this isn't really happening. Plus, I want to be able to fly my PMDG products in FSX along with god-knows how many other addons I use regularly that aren't compatible. Call me boring, but I won't migrate to FSX until I can have almost exactly the same set-up that I currently have in FS9. I have my FS exactly how I like it just now, I'm not about to throw that all away, especially when such amazing sceneries such as Aerosofts Heathrow are still being released.

Again agreed 100%...Couldn't have said it better myself Wink

Sometimes, I think FS9 can top FSX...Of course, you won't get the fancy water and those special effects, but still, who needs them...However, eventually, in a few years, FSX will be very good and you can't disagree with that...I shudder to think what I'll be doing in a few years...With a brand new PC and FSX... Shocked Cheesy Grin
