Here's something I want to run by you all. Please let me know if you think you'd be interested.in playing this simulation and work for V-Corp Multi-Media.Here's the deal:

Welcome to V-Corp Multi-Media, a virtual graphics and advertising company that designs ads, posters, sim splashscreens, creates slogans, logos...the list goes on and on.
The Board Of Directors (Krigl and myself) are looking for a new CEO to head up operations. Initially, the Board will (hire) anyone at V who wants to particpate in this simulation, at virtual $50k per year (U.S.). The board will, through the course of the simulation, give various artwork and promotional "jobs" to the staff;. example:. "Microsoft has called and asked for a layout for a splashscreen for the upcoming FS11"...or "Oshkosh has contracted us to design a poster for their 2008 airshow", or "Boeing is looking for a new catch phrase for their new 7E7"...the list of potential "jobs" offered to staff graphists is unlimited. Each job will have a different virtual $ amount attached to it based on it's difficulty, and upon completion of the job, the artist(s) who submit are given the appropriate sum, which is then added to their annual salary. Bonuses can and will be given by the board of directors to staff for exemplary work. (also added to the graphists annual salary). The object of the sim (game) is to eventually earn a $1,000,000 salary, automatically qualifying you to be the new CEO of V-Corp. Nice thing is it can go at an easy pace, as no staff graphists are obliged to take on any job in particular or at any particular speed, just the ones they feel they can handle. We'd offer a wide range of "jobs", some graphic heavy, some thought heavy with minimal graphics for those not too adept in design, and some just plain fun...
From the outset, there will be a list of titles with salary required to acheive each title, so graphics staff will feel their "rise to the top" more realistically.
Tracking the staff salaries and titles should be easy enough, and when someone is promoted; for example. to Art Director, we'll make an announcement in the "Board Room" . Everyone though does start off as a juniour graphist earning virtual $50k U.S. One more thing, you'll need a car to get to the office, so there'll be several models available which you can purchase with part of your salary. Your car should be in your sig for the time you're employed at V-Corp...will you be driving a Porsche or a *hitbox?
So what say you? Interested?

Very nice idea Danny! If managed properly this could get very motivational and a real boost in confidence for some of our more 'junior' members.
Although I don't fancy to take part in the challenge I'll be more than happy to assist you and Roger in managing the office ...

Oh and I don't need a car ... I already have a bike Wink

Harold, I was really hoping you'd sit on the Board Of Directors. Welcome aboard.  Smiley Now, we would need a total 10 participants (employees) who are ready to join up. Remember, it's all at a slow pace, you pick up "Jobs" whenever you have time, you post the results whenever you can. Don't forget as well there will be plenty of jobs outside the realm of photoshop or requiring any graphic arts skills. For example: The U.S. military called and they're looking for three aircraft to represent them on a recruiting pamphlet they're making. They've asked us to find screenshots of the three most appropriate and technologically advanced aircraft, to include on their pamphlet. This job pays $8k.
The speed of the sim is dictated only by how fast everyone wants to reach the million dollar mark. I'll put out the applications for employment in a few days if the positive responses here continue to come in.

We'll need 10 applicants before putting the corporate wheels in motion, so if you think you've got what it takes to climb the corporate ladder and become CEO of V-Corp, sign up now! There's only a couple of spots left. P.S. The first one to find the fault in the V-Corp header atop this thread will receive a $2k ($2,000.00)  bonus added to their starting salary of $50k to start the sim.

Sorry, Clipper!

I would love to climb the corporate ladder with what you've proposed, but right now I'm trying to get my foot into the door of any company/organization who isn't afraid to take in someone with an advanced degree. I've got a great lead right now with Texas A&M University in College Station and am waiting to hear back from them soon.

Good luck with your project.
