But not too rainy to take a shot or two, to show more views of the "new" old machine..........presenting, the 1981 Honda CB650C.

New rubber on the wheels, newly covered seat, front shock seals done, head gasket replaced, cam chain tensioner rep, new battery, new regulator/rectifier,  and a set of starter brushes going in as soon as they are delivered.....still not sure about the stator for the alternator ? It may need to be replaced.......all in all, I think it may be a fine mount for running up and down the island .....

Cool

...

This one to show the original mileage....not bad for an '81.....revs about 4,000 at 90kph in top gear.......it can be coaxed into going fast when necessary.... Wink

...

That 4-into-1 exhaust has a nice little growl which you can only hear at low speed, once on the run, you only hear the wind...... Cool

A Canadian bike is just gonna get wet, not much you can do about it. Grin

That's a real clean-looking classic there.  Cool

Beware about leaving her outside, Ken.... (the Bike, not Wendy!)... Wink...!

A few years ago, my pride and joy, £7,000's worth of new Honda CBR 600 FM, locked and alarmed, was stolen from my front garden path, in broad daylight, in the middle of a housing estate, by professional Bike Thieves...Lifted, and carried away, never to be seen again!....Shocked...!

There are always Toe-Rags around, looking for anything to steal that isn't firmly chained to the ground... Angry...!

My replacement Bike, and all my present Bikes, are all parked safely inside my house, every single day and night, when not in use....(Paranoid!)... Shocked...!

Because of increasing Bike thefts, many Insurance Companies will not insure a Bike parked outside, on the Owners property!

F....fitted an explosive bolt under the seat of my present bike....(I'm the only one who knows it's there...apart from you lot!)... Wink...!

Tip:...Lock it or Loose it...Wink...!!

Wise words Paul. I remember catching a guy trying to nick my VF. I "forgot" I had my helmet in my hand when I went to hit the idiot. When the policeman turned up I just happened to point out that the guy was trying to steal my bike and tried to stab me with the screwdriver he used to break my ignition barrel. Mind you the policeman and the ambulance man were both bikers and very sympathetic as well as phrasing the statement so I'd not get prosecuted Grin
I love the lads at Watford nick, a sound bunch of bikers Wink
