Rare Planes - Including My Birthday Treat and APEC (Read 327 times)

These are some photos I have collected over the past two months. Included are some rare aircraft - so, enough talk, lets cut to the photos!

...
This arrived...about a week before my birthday last month. It brought with it another C-37 and a KC-10. I brought my camera a day late, so I only got one, but at least I saw the other C-37 and single KC-10!

...
Now this one, is very special. One of my teachers recommended that I visit my dad so that he could still be part of my birthday. Now, I did this, and on my way to the cemetery...I see the big H on approach to runway 16R at YSSY. Coincidence that my teacher recommends this, or did my dad plan this? Well, this Belfast is the "birthday treat" for you!

...
Russia brought six Il-62s here.  Shocked Eight Ilyushins total, when you count the Il-96 and Il-76. Got this one within five minutes of it taxiing to take-off.

...
I'm sure this is the one you have all come to see. I watched it at 10:22 (about) PM. Stayed about five hours to see this thing land (missed that part) and park. If one of the UH-60s circling us fired even one bullet...everyone there would die. Blasted HE rounds. Two days later, I went back to the domestic terminal and got this (and hundreds of others - used over half the camera's shot capacity) shot.

Forgive the low quality, I lowered it for personal reasons.

You are quite welcome Bok. Wink I am now probably the only person on the V who has a shot of the VC-25 at YSSY. Thanks for the comments everyone! If anyone wants, I can post some shots of my new C-17. Gemini Jets 1:400 scale model C-17 (Spirit of Ronald Reagan) that is. Wink

If you ever see an IL-76, please grab a video camera and record the lovely sound of the Soloviev D-30KP's... Cool

Done Ashar, we have one Il-76 that operates locally. Lets hope it lands at YSSY.  Wink Awesome video, my mum can hear it when I turn my headset up to full volume.  Grin I seem to be a rare plane magnet now, a C-130H from the RAF just landed. Got a dozen or so photos of that too. Cheers for the comments everyone!
