..all I am aware of, is that any Server in
Multiplayer
INSISTS that a Frame rate of
20 FPS
must NOT be exceeded, to avoid "Bandwidth problems", and slowing the system down for ALL players!
My Frame rate is Locked at 20 FPS for all of my games, Multiplayer or not!
20 FPS = "Smoothness"...
...Smoothness is nice!....
...!
F....G-BPLF...
...!
P.S. If you notice that other players Aircraft, etc, are "leaping about", it is because one ore more of them have their "Frame Rate" set as "Unlimited"...
...!

Saitek Cyborg Evo Force. FS 2004 + FSX. Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower...Motor Bikes. Gas Cooker... and lots of musical instruments!.... ...!

Well A1..... that criteria has probably totally eliminated about 99% of the computer games available...... so you've narrowed down your choices already and made the job easier for picking.
I beleive that leaves either "Pong" or Gary Kasperov's "Chess Master".
best,
....................john
PS: What does the "S" in FPS stand for? And how does this NOT relate to "blood and gore"?

I'd suggest counterstrike source. Excellent game, huge online community, and not too much blood and gore
Can get it for quite cheap too now

Wolfenstein ET. Not much blood, and it's completely unrealistic anyways, great FPS, set in WW2, decent multiplayer, and its free. It's not the best graphics, but dont dismiss it because it aint half-life 2

Battlefield 2 is all you need. Or get 1942. Both meet all your requirements. Blood and gore is dust in BF (really funny with tk off in multiplayer to take a shotgun and shoot a teammates head...just makes a cloud of dust and if they have a crappy computer they lag and you get the plane
)
I just have the BF2 demo, it does a good job for me! Need to get the full game again....lost my stupid product key

May I suggest a game I used to be quite fond of?
America's Army!
It's a 100% "free" game, that you can download from Fileplanet, or a website known as
www.aaotracker.com
It's based off of the U.S. Army, seeing as it's funded by them via tax-money.
It takes a bit to get into, such as having to do a good chunk of training that's fairly realistic (Basic rifle training, obstacle course, advanced weaponry, and a final test are all that's required, however you can do medic, parajumper, Special Forces, and Sniper training as well).
Amazingly fun game, and extremely realistic!
(Blood can be turned off, too! Even though it's really just a red cloud that shoots out of whatever player you hit
)

I have. Panzer-noob's annoy me. But more often I have headshotted the guy before his panzer has time to power up

Ah
(Well, another suggestion I can throw out is to
avoid
Quake 4. It has a bit of a gruesome scene around half way through... Lets just say that you get chopped into little pieces... and have to watch the whole thing
)
If you're family doesn't mind "Pay to Play" games, the only true MMOFPS in existence is Planetside!
It costs about $15 a month to play (this may have been lowered), but you can literally have battles over a single base, consisting of 300+ players... per team. There's three teams, known as Empires, rampaging around the game-world at a time. Many different areas to play on, with varying terrain (Searhus, for example is a giant Volcano, Ceryshen is filled with Icy Canyons, Ishunder is mostly desert, etc).
Lots of different weapons and vehicles, including air vehicles for transport, bombing, and aerial fighting. Tanks, tanks, and more tanks, along with ATV's for faster transport. I've been playing the game since it was released, and I'm not even close to bored with it!
