I have a slight problem. It seems that I am unable to have the lights which I have added to some airports show up. I have made all the required changes to the airport and have checked all the appropriate boxes on the various properties windows, but when I restart FS the lights still don’t show up. I am wondering if this is a problem with AFCAD, or is it an FS settings problem? I am also using Ultimate Terrain so perhaps it is a problem with UT settings. Can anyone please suggest a solution or an appropriate setting for a system using an Intel Pentium 4 3.19 GHz with 1GB of RAM and a RADEON X300 series card.

donsalvi, welcome to SimV..

I doubt it is an Afcad problem or an FS settings problem.

The lights placed by Afcad, like the default airport lights, rely on the 'halo.bmp' in the main 'Texture' folder. If that file is missing or altered, lights would not show correctly. Does lighting at other airports show correctly? Do you have any other add-ons installed that altered airport lighting? (Thinking specifically of Golden Wings 3 which removes all airport lighting)

I don't have UT so don't know if it might have removed or altered the file for it's own night lighting, or any UT setting that might be connected.

The default 'halo.bmp' is 87KB, 5/5/2003, FS Disc 2\MSGAME3.cab.  If you do replace an existing 'halo.bmp' with the default, back up the existing one first in case you need to put it back.
