Hi folks,
some shots from todays Duxford Airshow
Mystery object photo - what's this then? (courtesy of my 4 year old mini-OTU)
The Reds in fine form, however something goes wrong every time I see them this year. So far it has been two incursions into the controlled airspace, today it was an uncontrolled collision with a bird. Red 7 dropped out and headed back to Scampton
And the only flying Curtis 75 Hawk

Nice shots. Gonna take an educated guess that the first one is the lancaster?

That first one is the BBMF Lanc unless I'm much mistaken. Lovely photos Steve

Yes indeed it is the Lancaster, well done chaps. I am being a little unfair to mini_OTU as he actually got one that was vaguely in focus....which was more than could be said for me
Mic it has apparently been a while since the Reds were last at Duxford, they certainly put on a good show, however the loss of Red 7 meant that there was a synchro solo instead of a synchro pair.....it was kind of missing something
Oh well, bloody seagull got everything it deserved

It would be nice if it was a Whitley though... One can dream...

Nice photos Steve, looks like you had a good day. Three years now since I was at the Duxford September show, I hope to get to the October show this year.

You're just hoping for a Vulcan aren't you Rog
If XH558 is ready then I may have to work extra hard and make Mrs OTU feel generous towards me so that I can go on my lonesome
