Well, it's official.

The deadline for the Ducati's final release is set to 1 October 2007. This is because I don't have much left to work on, however, I will be very active from this point on as I'll be asking some questions regarding the project.

1st Question:

In FS2004, the dynamics and glass windscreen look and work nearly perfectly; but in FSX, the windscreen is completely opaque and the dynamics are reduce to that of a fancy brick on wheels. How to fix that so that the Ducati won't have that problem in FSX? For example, the FSX Ducati doesn't accelerate as fast as it did in FS2004 and it turns very slowly. You can get the idea of how the Ducati handles in FSX by using the Beta-version-2 model provided at FSGV.

EDIT:

Progress Report

Visual Model - 100% Done
Textures - [Basic] 90% Done [Alpha] 100% Done [Light Map] TBA
Dynamics - [FS9] 100% Done [FSX] 50% Done
Gauges - TBA
2D Panel - TBA [only available in FSX version]*
Sounds - 90% Done

*For some reason, FSX won't display my Ducati unless it has a 2D panel.

Ok guys. I'm trying to put together a brand new custom gauge made specifically for the Ducati based on photo images aquired from the net; however, I'm having quite a lot of trouble putting together a proper XML code for a digital gauge. I have never worked on digital gauges before and all I got are bitmaps that I have created for this particular gauge using PSP. Is there anyone out there that can help put together a decent code for this or is there a digital gauge available that resembles the one used by the Ducati? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Katahu. Did you Check out FFDS site. Its a site that has alot of gauge programers and modelers. Prolly best to ask some questions there.
Thats where I go to get help with XMLs from the simple gauges I made for the S600s to the more complex Wiper Code and modelling in Gmax tips for the wipers in the Dash 8 100s. The wiper code is also the basis for the animations on the Black Stalion.
Bill Learning (FrierBill) has been extremely helpful when Ive needed direction. The guys over there are very knoledgiable in the ways of XML and Gauge programing and there are some very talented modelers there like Bill(Lionheart) check out his Junkers posts.
Ive even seen Felix over there milling around. LOL Wink
