I sead about doing a sim pit like this a while ago.
Must say i think you can pick air craft parts (like that in the link) for peanuts as most of the money recouped from a scrped arecarft comes from all the parts Engins pumps cantroles aveeonics ect. wonder how mutch he payed for the flight deck???

Depends on what you call "peanuts".
Most of the cockpit sections I have seen for sale have sold in the $5,000 to $10,000 range...... plus shipping.

Think in the UK some of them go quite a bit cheaper than that.
Some of the milatary stuff is surprising cheap over here i Cheaften tank in fullyworking order (even the main gun on that same licence as a .22 rifle) for something like £3000 ( $6000) The mind boggles dont it

I seem to remember that ex RAF Lightnings went for about 5000 sterling and at the time, Vulcan's where not that much more.
