Hi everyone,
Ok, I seem to be encountering performance that I should definately not be encountering. I get only about 20fps with something like the freeware AFG King Air 300 (not too frame intensive) with my sliders no where near max. It seems that the sim runs with smooth frames of 20fps for several minutes at a time, and then goes into a period of jumpy frames varying from about 1.5 - 20.0 for about 1 minute. This is getting very annoying, so I need some help with that. Also, I believe that I should be able to run my sim at MUCH higher settings than I already am with my current settings and hardware. My specs are:

1.5gb PC-3200 400MHZ RAM
NVidia GeForce 7950GT 512mb AGP (NO PCI EXPRESS SLOT IN PC, SO AGP IS FASTEST CHOICE)
Pentium 4 2.8GhZ processor
21 inch widescreen

All help appreciated!!

Joe

FSX or FS9? You'll have to tweak the sim a bit. Don't just set the main sliders, go to custumize and then change the different sliders individually. You'll want to figure out which sliders affect performance the most in your system and then turn them down a bit.
