I'm having a problem with atc in FSX recognizing some call signs for a few of my airliners.  The call signs are "Speedbird" for Brittish Airways, "Relax" for Sky Europe, "CSA Lines" for Czech Airlines, and "Slovakia" for Air Slovakia.  I'm sure the last three airlines probably aren't recognized because they are not common airlines, but Speedbird?  BA is probably one of the most common in Europe.  It recognizes "Orange" for Air Holland (Go Figure).

I have the callsigns exactly as follows in my aircraft cfg:

atc_airline=Speedbird
atc_airline=Relax
atc_airline=CSA Lines
atc_airline=Slovakia

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, one more thing.  I've been looking all over for a list of call signs that FSX recognizes, but can't find one.  Are there any around?

This problem was solved in FS2004 by using a program called EDIT VOICEPACK but I am not sure if they have a version for FSX. However I did find this link that might be of help to you

Speed bird
(2 words) works with the default voice pack.

An EVP updated voice pack from FS9  reportedly works in FSX. I have used it briefly and it appears to be working fine. "The call signs are "Speedbird" for Brittish Airways, "Relax" for Sky Europe, "CSA Lines" for Czech Airlines, and "Slovakia" for Air Slovakia"-all work with the EVP updated voice pack.

EditVoicePack for FSX is in developement.

An FS2004 ATC Recognized Airlines list should be fairly accurate for FSX.

Just like in FS2004, the default airlines.cfg file only lists a few of the names that ATC can use (recognize), mostly the  names of the default airlines.

The airlines.cfg file only serves the dropdown list in the Select Aircraft>Atc Name>Airline call sign list. It can not force ATC to use a name it does not already recognize. If you add a recognized name to the airlines.cfg it will appear in the list so you can select it for your aircraft.

You can also add/edit the 'atc_airline=' line to an aircraft.cfg file, [fltsimxx] section . If you enter a recognized name ATC will use it for that specific aircraft/variation.

Dave,

I tried that link for the EditVoicePack for FSX, downloaded it and it works great.  The CTP is still in development but what they've done so far is good.  Thanks again.
