If I'm being honest, a disappointing show after such a good one last time. Not many people were able to make it (even I was late), the display line wound up being on the awkward side and, to be brutally honest, the majority of people who were there didn't seem to care about what other people were doing.

Hey you try doing a full roll in an IL-4!
the Immelmans were farily easy and flying a straight line at 60 mph with a several ton aircraft should be a hobby in real life. OF course in the event that it was real, and I had enough money to afford an IL-4, i think I'd buy a single engine cool-mobile instead.

Think I'll just spectate at the next show, if there is one. If they're all going to be like that then I don't think it's worth working up a proper routine for them now.

So what actually happened then? Were people just being A**holes or something? I guess its partly my fault for having to pull out but some things are more important than flight sim.

Nope, just not enough people to hold a full scale show, really. Kind of feel your efforts are going to waste when you're only displaying in front of 4/5 people!

Fair enough. Btw, i was planning on holding another Thunder in the Valley show fairly soon but with all these shows popping up I think I'll wait a while!

And only one of those 4/5 is even bothering to watch what you're doing.

LOL tell me about it, but i dont mind it
Mrjake, you organization of your airshows is what attracts me too it, not the airshows that are poorly organized, im pretty sure any of us here would prefer to go to a well organized airshow than an unorganized airshow,
so i think you should carry on with the thunder in the valley
If you need any help, just ask, i'll be willing to

To be honest, I think the shows went downhill after the first 2 or 3. I can't put my finger on why, but the rest just haven't been particularly fun to attend (not the organisers fault). Too many people flying for ages? Too many displays? Decline in the 'seriousness' of those who attend? Who knows.

I know what you mean about the decline in 'seriousness' and also about the length, people seem to get bored and start to moan, etc.
