Any idea ?..........Anybody ?
The question is where and what.......?
As you may probably surmise, this is a tour with a guide in an undisclosed location........I have images which will tell the tale but for now, lets see who has an idea of what this is.........there aren't many in the world and this one is the largest of its kind and was made almost 100 yrs ago !
A first close-up .........
A second view with a bit more to see......
I'll be back after work later today to see what any of you can come up with........I'm thinking Doug (Flying Trucker) may have an advantage if he sees this........

I'm probably wrong, but the surrounding looks like a drydock - so maybe the pillar is that of one of those movable oil platforms...
Break it to me gently... I'm wrong, aren't I?

a monster big blender, for making vast amounts of breadcrumbs in. you just remove the people, sanatise the floor and add a factory grade cutting mechanism to the tall shaft... add several hundred thousands loafs of bread, spin and after that you get people to shovel it all out, or open that hole at the bottom
just an educated theory

After the big-blender is finished people could use it like a foam pit!!

Looks like a herd of about 8 earthlings, consisting of both the male & female of the species - the group includes one dominant male - this herd is probably on holiday.
The herd will consist of:
Drones: Earthlings that live off a substance called 'benefits'.
Workers: Next level up from the drones, the 'workers' will occasionally work.
King or Queen: Not many of these about anymore, but generally the 'King' & 'Queen' earthlings will be way out of touch with the needs of the 'workers' & 'drones'.
In the first picture you can see the earthling 'king' on the right (in the green trousers), he is looking on as his 'Jester' in the red bodywarmer attempts to entertain his herd - you see, completely out of touch! Show them the bl**dy great pipe behind you, thats what they really want to see Mr King!!
Am I right or am I right?

Upon see ing the first link, my first reaction would probably be too rude to post... let's just say it was loud and incredulous...
both are engineering masterpieces...
