And what is the reason for needing a mod? So you can hide behind them, when someone has a difference in opinion to you?

The F4 edit was created for dramatic effect. If the lighting is not true to real life, then, so be it.
As for the Artist - editor issue. I create an image for fun, no other reason. I would never consider myself an Aviation Artist, these people have worked long and hard to be recognised is the real world for thier skills. They deserve this position.
Screenshot art is a form of creation that is new to the computer age. I do belive it is a form of art in it's own catagory, it is new and it has a place of it's own.
in my view people should be proud of being a screen shot artist, but accept it for what it is and not try to claim skills they do not have.
All imho ----
John

Boy I'm really getting a lot out of these forums lately. For the past few mornings I've been in rapid-fire reply threads

I have repeatedly asked for the assistance of a moderator. I have gotten no response to that request. The man who showed up was not a mod.
It seems to me that it isn't any concern of yours why and when a member requests the assistance of a mod, sir.
This man said that the word "troll" came to mind. What is a troll, please.

Come on then, what do you expect the mod to do, 'sir'?

This man already answered that question. Read the link in my previous reply. Perhaps you didn't realise that it's a link. Here it is again.

Does this look familiar?
Quote:
A Troll is generally a person who is extremely skeptical of the main forum subject.
He is generally interested to make other forum members look stupid. A troll will sometimes use insults to provoke other people to insult him. Then, he will complain to moderators of being insulted and will request that his opponents get banned from further discussion.

In that case, PM one, and save us your relentless "mod please" posts.

I wouldn't use the word 'overlord' - you might disappear suddenly and without warning...
I think nick hit the nail on the head there - we are here to help each other to attain mutual improvement. not to get at each other's throats when there is a difference of opinion.
There was a difference of opinion recently (nick was there) and I lost it a bit. A mod PMed me concerning the matter and all has been straightened out. Which shows that the mods
will
react when it is necessary.

I remind you of an internet troll Mr. Hagar? I ask for help and I'm told that my request brings to mind an internet troll? Thank you very much for your help. You should really be ashamed of yourself.
I have everyone telling me about mods, what they do, what they don't do, what do I want them to do. I have everything but a mod. Excuse me, but I am specifically asking for a mod. They may be busy doing things but a request for assistance and clarification doesn't count? I and no one else I know at any forum has ever had any difficulty getting assistance from a mod. Why is it such a big issue with this site?
