When i used fs9 i used to use the ai flightplans that can be downloaded from many flight sim sites. i did like this as it increased the realism at different airports. i know some people find this enoying, but i have looked and i have not found many ai flightplans for fsx, as they are all for fs9(2004).

Can these be still used in fsx.
If so how?

I have used project ai in the past and can they still be used

Any help will be great..

"Can these be still used in fsx":
The flight plans that are made for 2004 will  work in FSX, however, you will have to make some changes to aircraft text and the airport text that normally come with the flight plans.

First, You need to open the 2004 airport text and replace the airport cordinates with FSX,s airport cordinates. Some one made a list that can be downloaded at Avism.com. Here is the filename that you need to enter in Avism's extended search to download the list:
"fsx-fs2004_airports_comparison_v1-0.zip"

Second, You will probably have to change the titles in the aircraft text to the titles of the aircraft PAINT that you intend to use, unless your lucky enough to find an aircraft paint that has the same titles.
FOR EXAMPLE, the information that is only inside the following quotes:

AC#1,200,"EvolveAI A320IAE XXXX"

must match the title that is located in the following aircraft.cfg:

[fltsim.0]
title=EvolveAI A320IAE XXXX
sim=evai_a320_iae
model=satcomm_no_refl
panel=
sound=
ETC......

Third, The good news is that you do NOT need to make any changes to the Flightplan text.

Fourth, Of course, you will have to find and download the AI base package aircraft model along with the AI paint that you want to use.

Fifth, Use Lee Swordy's TTools to compile the flight plans. Please note that you should choose the correct FSX destination insertion files on the TTools program. For example, one insertion point should be where you have your flight plans at and the other should lead to FSX/scenery/world/scenery folder.

This does take some time to do, but you will have some good looking quality AI aircraft of your choice flying around.

Last, Project AI aircrafts can still be used for FSX.  You must specify and select the FSX installation folder. In other words, you will have to select the 2004 installation file however the PAI installer will redirect you to another screen to where you can specify and choose the FSX folder instead.  Also you will have to go to FSX root directory and transfer all the planes that will be in the aircraft folder to  the simobject/airplane folder.

Theres no modification needed for FSX. Even the ones that say FS9.

You need to open the installer woains24 and double click WOAI Installer. Click Run and proceed.
Then you select FSX from the drop down bar, and select your package file in the above drop down.
...

Select the package and click next.
...

And WOAI does remove the default AI traffic, so its probably a good idea to install them all if any  Wink

Ohh and (sorry for double post)  you will probably have to go to an airport in the country of which the airline is, or an airport that it may travel to, to see them.
