This one was truly massacred by compression
The original one was sharp, but the it got shot down when I saved it, so I softened it to get rid of all the crap that comes with compression.

sweet job!!
only thing i could suggest would be that the landing gear should be up for a water landing. but thats not something crucial!!
nice shot!!

Maybe he means reflection but there should be a shadow or reflection or something there.

The Float plane prop was hard to cut out, so I actually used the DC-3 prop.
But I blended it wrong
.
Just a quick question, do you guys think that
www.flickr.com
is a good site to consistently get the photos I need, or should I be looking around at another site?

I look for a tutorial on making reflections yesterday, and I came up with nothing. So I still have no idea

They are - this shot makes it look like the gear would hit the water before the floats...
but no....
you have been decieved...
Seriously - what you are looking at is the gear in the raised position - it is actually above the level of the floats, and when the pilot flips the switch to extend the gear, the wheels simply pivot down...

You should have some people swimming in the river, and a story to go with it...
The Johnson family, unaware of their impending doom, decided to play marco polo.
