Not seen anything posted from this event so here's a few pics. Sunday looked like being a beautiful day so I decided to toddle up to Dunsfold for Wings & Wheels 2007. The airfield was a tad soggy & it took almost an hour to get parked but it was worth it after the rotten summer we've had up to now. The programme didn't look too inspiring this year but one aircraft I really wanted to see in the air was the Hawker Nimrod II. This is the classic biplane fighter designed by the great Sir Sydney Camm & not the one currently in service with the RAF. Isn't she a beauty?
...

The Nimrod was displayed along with its younger sister the Hurricane XII. This is the Canadian-built 12-gun version of this famous fighter. Both aircraft belong to the HAC at Duxford. http://www.historicaircraftcollection.ltd.uk/aircraft/

Here's a couple from the BBMF. First the Hurricane IIc
...

The Spitfire PRXIX. One of them Griffon-powered variants. Sorry Mark. Roll Eyes Wink
...

Hope you like 'em. More later.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. This isn't really a comeback as I haven't been away. I've been loitering but keeping a low profile for a change. Wink

Well, I went back to work for a few weeks. Since retiring for the second time I've been too busy enjoying myself to post anything much. Cool
