Hello again.
As you may have read, I just wrote into simv neighborhood post to open a new thread especially for our SimV Airport - Europe Scenery.
This is really needed I think as we would soon lose overview. Of course we can still write into the SimV Neighborhood post but I think the SimV Airport post gets too long. So here we go!

So here my tower is.
What I changed?
I fixed the error I already gave the link to above.
In the inside of the tower you can now see the windows with its frames.
The inside now also has a roof, yesterday one was able to see through it
.
Below from the windows you can see the inside wall. Yesterday....
There I'll put tower instrument textures at.
What I still need to do:
At the bottom of the tower and some polygons are white/black flashing in FS.
I think there are some polies at same place. I can fix this with a ZBIAS, can't I?
The outside textures!!!
What do you think how I should texture the outside parts? Someone already suggested me to make it a dark, matt grey.
But here now my results:

I'm just back from holidays, so I didn't work further on it.

I'd also like to make it silvern but reflection (what is needed to have metal and not grey) doesn't seem to work.
If someone knows a solution or perhaps what I did wrong, please tell me!
So I'll try to makke it a dark anthracite, another boy already suggested this.

strange I just painted a bit over the texture templates, saved to texture folder, started up fs and..... no textures!
In FSDS it worked......

I found the error in 16bit bmp formatting! Here the texture templates applied:
But I'm a bit confused.... I just noticed that place is america,
but didn't you talk of europe?? or was this another post??

The coordinates are for the SimV neighborhood project. Remember you said you wanted to do the tower for that airport? I gave you permission so therefore I thought this was the tower for that airport. I guess we got confuesed between all those threads.
I do like this tower for both airports though. We will use it for both. I might decide to switch to this tower for SimV USA when I release V2.0 of that.

Some more things I've done by now:
I've overworked the tower's window's alpha channel. Now one can't look through the window frames as good as before....
I painted some base textures, with a dark grey (hex. colour: #333333) and painted a nice top!!!
I fixed some bad polygons that didn't want to apply their textures.
The inside no has floor and top textures.
I also reworked the smoothing groups: The bottom poly row is now not smooth with the main tube above.
The same with the poly row below the tower house. It's no more smooth with the main tube. (sorry for my english
)

The Tower, if released as a Scenery add-on would be very nice...
...but, PLEASE!...NO BLOODY BADGERS!, to spoil the object...

A good, well designed "Sim V Tower", (and Sim V Hangers), would be very nice if they could be placed at ANY location..

If they could be installed into the the Abacus "EZ-Scenery" Library, that could be achieved!

I don't know how EZ scenery works and what it is, but generally this bgl scenery format has a fixed position.
I know there are ways to export the files to another format, but I'll have to try this out.

I think it looks pretty good. If you can fix the errors that would be good but if not it's fine. GREAT BADGER

I was really unsure if I should do it.
But then I decided that there are more people here on simV that have this avatar than people that have an Anti-Badger signature....
Im sorry you can't read what's written on the tower's top due to picture compression, but in FS you will be able to read this.
