I got FSX the other day and have been playing happily. However, when I came to start it up just now it shows the FSX screen (to show it is loading) but it then crashes and I have to force quite it in the Task Manager. I have tried rebooting waiting 15 mins everything.

Anyone know why it is not starting despite working just a few hours earlier?

Is my only option to un-install and then re-insall?

Cheers

Tom

P.S. I AM using SP1

Usually that's due to a corrupted FSX.cfg file. Try moving the FSX.cfg file out of your C:\Documents and Settings\
Name You Use To Log On
\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX directory, then start FSX and let it build a new file.

That kind of worked. It said "Loading" and got and loaded to 100% but then once the loading had completed, it crashed again  Sad

I shall try re-installing tomorrow and if that doesn't work it may be a call to MS  Angry
