I will be able to connect for about 2 minutes and then it says I may be logged onto another computer, so I make a new account and the same thing happens. I have a linksys wireless-G router with updated firmware. Speed is an unsteady 54.0 MBPS and the signal strength is almost always Excellent. This router says it was only ment for Internet and E-mail. Do I need to upgrade to a Wireless-N or is there a cheaper way? My routers draft is 802.11g. This is it: WRT54G
Wireless-G Broadband Router. I'm thinking of just getting the WRT300N
Wireless-N Broadband Router because it is compatible with online gaming. Then there is the WRT330N
Wireless-N Gigabit Gaming Router which is extraordinarily expensive, but from what I've heard, works great. Will the WRT300N
Wireless-N Broadband Router work with FSX do you think? Undecided

Have you read and followed the directions in the mutiplayer router and firewall settings threads at the top of the mutliplayer section here?

I would most likely say it's just a problem with settings if I could take a wild guess... Wink

welcome to the mess we call the V, hope you get it figured out!

Just bought a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N today. I'm juuust about to install and see how it runs. It says it supports online gaming and it should cuz my friend has one and I can it there. The Linksys WRT54G ver. 6 should not be sold anymore due to a "BUG" in the system, it sends out a choppy signal.

It took a few hours but I have it running, now I'm waiting for FSX to boot up. I'm so anxious.  Lips Sealed
