This is my little series about the A-7 Corsair II repaints.

Something General:
For all of my repaints of the Sluff, im using Adobe Photoshop CS2, Corel Draw X3 and DXTBmp.

Now to the important thing. The repaints!
The model i want to do is this pretty Sluff
...

As the artwork pattern I used this one here. But i want to do all what is blue here in a dark green.
...

This is my status now:
I done the grey paints, now im beginning to make the eagle.
...

After the Eagle is ready vectorized, im setting myself on the basic stencils.
Hope you are enyoing my little Series in further time Wink.

Regards from Germany,
Ruffy

How do you get the eagle so crisp, without jagged edges?  I definitely like the crisp, sharp look of the logo and the rest of the artwork.

At first, i vectorized the Eagle in Corel. Then i exported the file to an *.psd file with the point, that white is transparent. Then i take Adobe and open the Eagle, and copy it into the Repaint-File.

But know you will ask you how I get white into the repaint? It's easy: All of my files are in the CMYK Colors ( Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). When i want to export white, then ill give only 1% black into the white, because corel dont think it is white any more, its another color.

Hope this answerd your question, Felix (when i understood here right Grin)

Hope you can understand it, i dont know how to explain it better Wink

When if more time this evenig, i will do this Corsair

ore

this one

Will see what i want Cheesy

Thanks for the explanation.... I'll go try it.

Hmmmm - I don't think you'll stop until you've repainted every A-7 ever painted...  Wink

Congrats on a job well done Cool

I'm understandably curious: How much time did you put into doing that repaint?
