ok there were some pretty sever flying conditions at my hometown denver(hometown airport denver intl) so i thought i test my simulator skills by trying some landings there in a 747(for fsx) but when i download the weather it said the the wind was 5 knots that was right but the visibility was over 50 miles and there was no rain so i went online to see if this was correct weather and of course it wasnt the visibility was 5 and there was heavy rain any way to fix this besides user-define weather?

go to settings somewhere downwards, theres an button called adapt or something in that direction
click on it, a new window will appear.
on the top choose "weather" and check the settings of cloud visibility and so on and if necessary, correct it.
a clooud visibility range on which i fly is about 160-180 nm (i hope this is right Wink )

well i hope this was helpfull

Never did think much of the default FS weather system. It's there and that's about all it is. Maybe there's a delay in the actual weather and the weather you download. Active Sky is supposed to be much better at giving you realistic weather but of course that's going to cost you both in money and system resources. Weather was one of the biggest system resource hogs in FS9 and still is in FSX so the more clouds and rain the slower your sim is going to be. If your system can handle it however then Active Sky is much better than the default weather, or so I've heard. I'm running FSX on a low end system so I'll have to wait until I get a system that can handle it before trying Active Sky myself.
