I have used afcad for some time with great results, and have recently been working on 'new' airports. After positioning runways and taxiways, I have laid a 'grass' polygon to enclose the whole area and then drawn apron polygons on top of this.
I now find that the apron polygons do not show up. Is this because afcad does not support layers or is it something else I have missed?
If it is the former, can I flatten my airport area and add a standard fs ground texture over the area and then in afcad just add my apron polygons and if so, what is the best way to do this?

Many thanks

I've messed with that question for some time with varying results. Think I may have stumbled onto the key...

You must pick the surface for your 'apron' apron from lower (farther down) on the surface list than the one your using for the 'airport poly' apron surface.........for example, you can have asphalt on grass but not concrete on grass......at least that's my conclusion..   Wink

Very interesting answer Dave.

I have been using texture 'Turf' for my polygon and 'asphalt' for my aprons, asphalt is higher in the texture list than turf.
So, accordingly then if I pick 'grass' for my background polygon which is second in the texture list and asphalt for my apron polygon which is fifth in the texture list, have I got that the right way round?  Roll Eyes

Many thanks

Yes, Ivormiils, that should work.
