Hi Guys -

I assume this issue had already been in discussion several times, however, I didn't find any good solution - maybe you have one?

AI-Traffic-speed makes me sick too often. I mean: I now have edited the AI-Traffic and no more Cessnas and Pipers are coming down in KLAX, KJFK oder EDDF - but even the AI-737s etc. leave the RWY at a super-slo-mo-speed Smiley ... this results in a go-around much too often. Any input how to accelerate their speed, at least when rolling along the RWYs?

If you don't like cessnas  Shocked you can use TTools to decompile your traffic to txt files, serach the resulting aircraft numbers in it and delete those, then recompile (but make a backup first). But this way would require some learning for you Cheesy

The fastest way would be to go into Aircraft.cfg of the aircxraft that are too slow, then adjust their reference speeds like cruising...
I don't know exactly which entries would need to be changed and can be without changing speeds if YOU fly them, but someone may be able to help you further.

Taxi speed is controlled universally, not within the aircraft.cfg file.

You don't say which sim. If your using FS2004:

Search Google or your favorite FS download sites (got no results on SimV) for:

FS9 Configurator V1.6

One of the functions available is to increase the AI taxi speed.

Another utility to help solve ai congestion is AISmooth. It maintains separation by sending ai into holding patterns thus avoiding the constant 'go arounds'. Available for FS2004 and FSX.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.          Igor Sikorsky
