So, they always have, y'know, a couple of old military jets at AirVenture... Cheesy

...

One of the other Sabres that visited this year... I want to build a little temple around it and worship it. Grin But that would be wrong- she's airworthy. Wink  Some don't like the lines of the F-86, but I think it's just about perfect. And it has guns.  Zoom zoom bang bang. Smiley

...

Which is not to say I don't like F4s! This one did not do enough showing off over the runway, but it was so clean and "tight"-looking.  Sad

...

Less shy was this fantastic P80... I showed the other flying Lockheed earlier.

...

There were many L39s there this year, and in every variety. Still a good "budget" jet for those who want to play fighter pilot.

...

What do you do when you have a brilliant, clear shot with perfect light and good composition, but there are Porta-Potties and dazed, sunburned AirVenturers cluttering up the foreground? You make art, that's what. Wink  I like how this turned out... pilot of the NASA F-18 talks on his cellphone while waiting to be towed from the Square to the flight line (the plane was "dark and cold").

...

The Strike Eagle arrives after a thrilling display... nice job!

Agreed!

By the way, that's not a Tomcat. That's a Strike Eagle (F-15E)  Wink
