Some more from the VAC rally. It was meant to be an Anglo-Irish fly in, but awful weather in Ireland put off the travelling participants.....

Stunning Cessna, the prop was unbelievably shiny Cool

Gorgeous Luscombe....

Ok, not a classic, but doesn't it look fun? Quite a regular in the Shropshire skies this one

That Steen may not be very old, but the design is certainly a classic... nice one. Grin

They're all good- I particularly like that C-165; don't see many of those anymore. Saw one on floats(!) at Oshkosh... Shocked

It's the first one I've seen in the flesh. Ken posted a shot of one a while ago and I would not have recognised it as a Cessna until I was told. As soon as I saw this one though I spotted it straight away, wonderful design and apparently very well cared for.

It took off just as I was leaving, and unfortunately I had already packed away all the camera gear. Fantastic sounding engine though, soft and gentle when ticking over, and changing into a roar when the power came on Cheesy

Very nice Cessna C-165 Airmaster, seen it a couple of times as its based at Liverpool, but haven't had my camera with me when i've been there.
and a very nice set of shots too
