Nice Tiger. You don't see many Turbulents with canopies either.

I really liked the Tiger, but could not get a good aerial shot. G Bumpy though Grin

G-APZX is registered as a PA-22 Caribbean. It's one of many Tri-Pacer types that have had their noselegs surgically removed & converted back into proper aeroplanes. There is a kit available to do it. Much prettier don't you think? Wink

The Auster Arrow (G-BEAH) is probably the rarest one here. Only 3 left on the UK register of which I think 2 are airworthy.

Most interesting about the Tiger are the apparent lack of anti spin strakes forward of the tail. That could just show my lack of depth of Tiger Moth knowledge though... Shocked

There's quite a few Tigers around without strakes. Not sure on the legal position as I've seen a fairly recent CAA directive making them mandatory. My mentor Cecil Pashley (who knew what he was talking about) insisted that they were never necessary in the first place & we had one Tiger in the club that never had them fitted.

The Tiger is the only Moth that was fitted with anti-spin strakes. AFAIK

NOTE 2 The slats shall be locked in the closed position before commencing
aerobatics.
NOTE 3 When an auxiliary fuel tank is installed and is carrying fuel, aerobatic
manouvres are prohibited.
