So many images... brain... melting... I need a Gooney break.

There were seven flying DC-3/C-47/R4Ds that I saw... I didn't get any pics of the camo-painted C-47, but here's the rest of them.

I don't have much info on these- never seemed to be anyone "in the know" around when I was looking at them. But who cares? They're Gooneys.

No good in-flight pics, but I like this taxi shot. Love the sound these things make on the ground.

Another stranger to me... I like the paint scheme. I even like the greasy residue...


     


     


Seen this one before, but I can't ID it. I really like the custom-welded oil pans they have installed for parking; that's a nice touch. God knows those old radials leak quite a bit.

     


I still haven't looked this up- I think it may have had a belly camera installed at one time. Gooneys are a good plane to bring camping- lots of shelter.

     


Duggy just after a nice shower... he was busy hauling skydivers aloft for the show opening all week long.

I love the last one! What type of DC-3 is that anyway? It has a sharper nose compared to the rest - I like that.
