This week, the judge's position is handed over to another alliterating name...wahay....it's Judge John's Judges choice, and the subject is;
General Aviation
"If you can pad it out for me mate, would be great."....OK...will do
Judge John wants to see GA at its best, whether it be circuit flying to cross country, small cessna's to powerful twin engined monsters, anything goes as long as it's GA!
An update from John; "come on, weve all got GA shots, old or new just get your best shot out, and show it off!
"
THIS WEEK'S RULES
1. GA....this generally means small privately owned aircraft, so even if a non scheduled 747 counts as GA, it doesnt for this competition....as a general rule, if you could expect to see the aircraft at a small airstrip then it counts, so no Jets, or warbirds
2. There can be payware or freeware in the shots, FS any version. Most JC competitions allow editing, but John as expressed his wish to keep this contest RAW shots only....so the only editing that can occur is resizing
3. You nominate one shot only, as a thumbnail of about 5 kb. IT CAN BE AN OLD SHOT if you don’t have time to create something especially for the comp, though original entries are encouraged…. Post it in this thread, below.
This competition is going to last for 1 and a half weeks, as I'm off on holiday this weekend....so the deadline for entries is 8PM (British time) on Saturday 11th
The judge will choose which shot is best and tell me on Saturday or Sunday…
DEADLINE FOR JUDGE TO INFORM ME: 8 PM GMT SUNDAY
The winner will be announced Sunday evening.
THE WINNER IS THE NEXT JUDGE!
The shot also goes into your personal portfolio
4. The winner should decide on the next competition, and, by MONDAY NIGHT 8:00 GMT, send ME one pic plus a short text to describe the competition and what they are looking for. Also send another couple of your best shots.
We will start the new competition on Monday night, so people have 5 evenings to produce their entries.
5. This is for fun, so just post whatever seems to you to fit the rules. In the spirit of StudioV, we're all aviation and aviation screenie fans, and friends, and so just about everything goes. Rules are secondary, and no questions needed.
It might be an idea to check out our Judge's work, see what he likes....
TWO 'IMPORTANT' NOTES
A. The main point is that you get to be the judge – but the winning shot will extend your portfolio when Krigl gets back from his (yet another) holiday…
B. If people don’t meet the dead-lines, don’t be surprised if I make the choices or even the competition for you. Studio V must ‘run on time’…. Sorry to be evil about this but it’s for the greater good.
So rent out your favourite aircraft and take to the skies!

Argh. This is going to be so much competition.
Looks like everyone here has good GA shots so this is going to be a bit difficult.

I'm certain this time I'm gonna put in an entry.... I'm also certain it isn't going to come even remotely close to winning...

One more thing. Does a Tiger Moth count as GA or Military?

How about the much-talked-about TBM700? Does that count?

I know. Some time with the weather settings can really make your shot look good.
