Hello Chums...

This occurred to a number of us during one of Jimbo's recent Tours.

All the Members who were flying at the time were duplicated, (or even triplicated!), in the Chat Window, causing serious connection problems.... Shocked...!

This interesting article from our Friends over at Deer Valley, explains the problem, and how to prevent/cure it... Cool....>>>>

Fozzer,

Anyone who wants it bad enough can become a member.  I just wanted you to know that many folks would not be able to see it.

LOL..!

Without stepping on the Member at Deer Valley's toes, what happens basically is that sometimes when a Member, or a number of Members, get disconnected for any reason during a Multiplayer Session, and then immediately re-connects, a duplicate of themselves, (and FS Navigator if used), is left in the session, (it will be observed in the Chat Window), with the result that  they duplicate the information constantly sent to the Server, overloading the bandwidth, slowing the whole Session down to a crawl, and displaying unusual effects!

The suggestion to cure this particular problem was to close down the Sim completely, re-load it again, and re-connect again!
(It may be possible to "save your present position" in the Sim first before shutting down).

A few of us have experienced this particular problem in the past in Multiplayer, with strange results, and the Deer Valley Thread mentioned above, explained both the situation and the cure.

Paul... Wink...!

Many thanks for the tip, JB.

Many Forums are open for the public to read them, but thinking about it since you mentioned it, Deer Valley restricts any entry, (and joining!), to their Site for very good reasons..Wink...!

Anyway, the extracts I posted here give sufficient information about the Multiplayer problem which can be encountered on rare occasions.

As Moosizzle suggests, it could be used to clone many extra "Fozzers" to delight everyone!
What more could you want?.... Wink...!

Paul...Paul...Paul...ad infinitum.... Smiley...!
