Hmm. It's got a 12A rating in the UK, and my 9-year old (who's been watching the cartoons on TV) wants to see it.

So - potential strategies for getting into the cinema: stilts and long trousers? Painted beard and moustache? Bribery?

The age related side first. Theres some swearing in it, and I guess the action scenes must also come into it. But there is nothing really bad, there were a few kids there today who just found it funny at times. So I wouldn't worry too much. No sex or nudity in there.

The movie itself, infreakincredible. I must admit I had my doubts going in, and almost cancelled because I am not a fan. But boy am I glad I went. Special effects are amazing, although there are times during the battle scenes where it becomes hard to tell who's who but its not a big detractor. There are some poorly edited parts though, where scenes just seem to skip a couple of lines. But again its not in any major place. Nice ending aswell I think it'll leave it open for several sequels.

Just so you know, 12A means you have to have an adult accompany you if your under 12. Unlike a 12 rating which means you have to be 12 to see it.

I would replace Spaceballs or Transformers with Young Frankenstein, but other than that, we have uncannily similar taste in movies, right down to The Blues Brothers....  Wink
