It’s…Judge’s Choice MrJake2002! And his topic is:

“VINTAGE BIRDS”

...

MrJake proclaims:

I would like you to show me your finest vintage aircraft this week... be it a warbird, a historic jet, a biplane or whatever else you can think of; it has to be old! History is important in this weeks theme so the more accurate the image the more likely you are to win; for example, an accurate reinactment of a real, historic event in your shot would score well! The aircraft can be old and worn showing its age or could be clean and new such as a freshly painted XH558, its up to you. Editing is allowed but no composites this time.”

THIS WEEK'S RULES

1. Old planes, let’s say up to the end of the 1960s but it should look old style…we all know what Vintage means, right?

2. There can be payware or freeware in the shots, FS any version.  As usual, editing is allowed but NO composites – only some people can do them, and it’s hard to compete with a composite! Some JC comps will allow them, but most won’t.

3. You nominate one shot only, as a thumbnail of about 5 kb. IT CAN BE AN OLD SHOT if you don’t have time to create something especially for the comp, though original entries are encouraged….  Post it in this thread, below.

DEADLINE for submission of shots is 8 PM GMT on SATURDAY.

The judge will choose which shot is best and tell MICTHESLIK on Saturday or Sunday…
DEADLINE FOR JUDGE TO INFORM MICTHESLIK: 8 PM GMT SUNDAY
The winner will be announced Sunday evening.

THE WINNER IS THE NEXT JUDGE!

And, your winning shot goes into the Personal Portfolios!

...

4. The winner should decide on the next competition, and, by MONDAY NIGHT 8:00 GMT, send MICTHESLIK one pic plus a short text to describe the competition and what they are looking for. Also send another couple of your best shots.

We will start the new competition on Monday night, so people have 5 evenings to produce their entries.

...

5. This is for fun, so just post whatever seems to you to fit the rules. In the spirit of StudioV, we're all aviation and aviation screenie fans, and friends, and so just about everything goes. Rules are secondary, and no questions needed.

It might be an idea to check out our Judge's work, see what he likes....

TWO 'IMPORTANT' NOTES

A. The main point is that you get to be the judge – but the winning shot will extend your portfolio when Krigl gets back from his (yet another) holiday…

B. If people don’t meet the dead-lines, don’t be surprised if Mictheslik makes the choices or even the competition for you. Studio V must ‘run on time’….  Sorry to be evil about this but it’s for the greater good, as it were.

...

Get the zimmer frame out for these shots, and if you can’t get up into the sky, ask a policeman for help.

My early entry Smiley

.mic

PS.....It is strictly speaking a composite.....but no photos are involved and I only made it like that to get the background blur......disqualify me if you want but I think this just scrapes through as edited...

Good Old Spartan. Built in 1930 so it's a classic alright. Cheesy

Once again I did not edit. No editing involved in this pic whatsoever.
I nominate this pic.

WOW there has been some very nice shots!!! Also a tip for you Mitch (mab_08) because i think you're new to the whole editing thing but you should:
1# Get a closer view of the aircraft depending on the angle ( I personally think that it suits your angle)
2# Try and experiment with a lot of different views and effects

But your shot is still really good
I might even enter the comp for kicks hehe Cool
