Nice little link of Meteors and Vampires beating up on B29's....


THis is a 1949 RAF training film.  While it shows RAF jets attacking B-29s, one must rememember that in 1949, the Soviet's main long distance/heavy bomber was the Tu.4 "Bull", a reverse engineered copy of the B.29.

Only difference is that the Tupolev has 23mm cannons in the turrets...
 

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

difference in Tactics... dont forget that those 23mm Nudelman or berezin cannons had the highest rate that you could get at that time.

It was a copy at such extent that they even had part of the inside of the plane painted in a different color as they happened to get their hands on a B-29 that was painted with two different colors of primer due to a supply problem at Boeing
