As always, Yeovilton hosted a fantastic finale to the show - a simulated airfield attack.

A Merlin and Seaking were on patrol and both spotted something down in the "water".



The Merlin goes to investigate...

The small something happened to be an enemy dinghy, full of troops!



The Merlin headed back and alerted 3 Lynx's to the boat, who lifted off and headed to the boat. Whilst all this was happening, enemy troops had arrived on the "airfield" and had opened fire on a small group of troops patrolling.



The boat was strafed by the Lynx's who flew overhead and opened fire.



The enemy boat had retreated, but the enemy's ground troops had been reinforced as an enemy jeep arrived on the scene. To counter this, a Chinook arrived and deplyed more troops and a cannon (out of shot). A pair of Harrier GR9's took off to deal with 2 enemy Hawks that had been getting steadily more aggressive towards the ground troops.

The Hawks were dealt with and the Harriers turned on the enemy troops and did what they do best - ground attack...
