Nothing special going on today, so I went out for a bit of point, shoot and edit, to practice my skills...


Oh-oh... Seems I made the clouds run out!  Huh

One of those hovering, bee-like flies ( the flower is Asterantia major)

Lovely butterfly on Rudbeckia speciosa ( the butterfly is called a little bown sandeye in Belgium - Maniola jurtina)

And this one is specially edited, because I liked how the beetle stood out from the background... but BW does it more justice...

...

I did use the Latin names to allow you guys to find the local name in your language, not to go academic...  Wink

Nice job.  Did you use photoshop on the last one?  I've been trying to get the same effect with some pictures I took and I can't quite figure out how yet.

Yes, basically I selected the beetle, then reversed the selection and removed the colour. It takes a bit of time, but it's well worth the effort.
