I have been having some problems with my add on helis.  My latest issue is with the pavelow.  I havnt found the common like between the aircraft.  Some one suggested guages.

So my first question is:  Has any one been able to load their pavelow into a multi player session already acitve. (I can start my own session but not load into one)

I have tried every thing I can think of and still no luck.

I dont run antivirus or firewalls while I play, and have a cable modem, not a router.

I can't help you with the Pavelow, but what do you mean when you say you cannot enter a multiplayer session? Can't you connect? Are you getting errors when you're trying to connect?

with the default (and some addon) aircraft I have no issues.  With the pavelow, HC412 and a few others I can log into game spy and pick a session.  I work through picking aircraft and what not then "enter" the session.

upon loading the session data I get to 86%, this is the "multiplayer" section of the load.  I then get booted with a message thats basically says unable to connect to the host.

If the host is running the same aircraft I am trying to load, HC142 for example I can load in just fine.  I can also start my own sessions fine.

the problem is loading into a session already in progress whos host dose not have the same aircraft as my self.....

I have searched for answers on this every where and have come up empty handed.  I have heard of others having the same problems too but as far as I know they still done have any answers either.

I'm open to ANY suggestions.  It sucks having some great aircraft I cant enjoy unless I am alone.

That is a strange problem. If others have been having the same problem, then hopefully Alphasim will release a patch to fix it soon. Not sure about your other addons though. The only think I can suggest is re-installing FS. I'm not sure it will work but you never know. Perhaps someone else knows a solution. Hope you get it sorted though...

Thanks for the reply.  I dont think it is an alphasim issue, so i dont expect a fix from them...  I will try to reinstall fsx....  I should back up and remove all my addon aircraft first I would assume? haha

I think all your addons will be untouched when you re-install, but I'm not certain so yes you should take the precaution of backing up your addons.  Wink

I reloaded the game and still no good.  I can load in as long as the host has my same aircraft in their hangar....   I wonder if it is a problem with the computer assigning a default aircraft to my addon for others to see.....

man I really wish I could find the answer to this, or maybe I'll stay right away from multiplayer and fly on vatsim only  Sad

OK...  microsoft and game spy are passing the buck back and forth.  I have all my ports open as per gamespys recomendations, I run no fire wall or anti virus.  I have reloaded the game.  Much of the addon aircraft I have wont work in multiplayer sessions already in progress unless the session host has my particular aircraft in their system.

Microsoft told me to contact game spy, game spy told me to contact microsoft

I really wish some one else had this issue and found a work around.....

I don't know whether this will help, but try posting on the Alphasim forums. I've just had a search around on there and no-one else appears to have reported this. Perhaps you should report it.

" Hi again

GameSpy does NOT handle the issue of mulitplayer for their game.

Please contact them again and this time ask to speak to a manager.  We sold them coding - they still have to provide technical support for their users for it.

We only provide support for products we directly sell to our end users.

If they still send you to us, please ask for Microsoft's rep's name, their manager's name and then send that to us along with how you contacted them.

We will still not be able to help you, but perhaps we can help educate them as to what services they provide for their customers.

Yours sincerely,

Well that solves that....  Microsoft says if its not default aircraft I'm SOL as well.......
