Hi again!! I thought to myself the other day if i should have a go at making some of my own aircraft for FS9/FSX (mostly FS9). I heard its very hard and needs a lot of skill, but i heard on POSKY's forums that you could set up and make your own aircraft for free using GMAX software, that got me more interested. so i thought i would ask you guys were i should start if i wanted to do this (maybe as a little trial to see wether im any good!! :
). i do have a bit of knowledge on using CAD design programs as i use them at school and at home. would that be any help to me??

Hopefully you have FS-X Deluxe. That is the only version that comes with the SDK installation, which you need. Of course, you then need to download and install the SDK SP1 to get the latest and greatest tweaks.
IUF you have FS-X Deluxe, install gmax. The latest version is gmax 1.2, and that, along with the tutorials and help files, come in the \SDK folder of Disc 1.
Given that you have some experience, you should still be able to breeze through the gmax tutorials, to get the feel of the program, and then tackle some projects.
READING THE SDK DOCUMENTS IS ESSENTIAL! There are some very good examples and pointers on how to do things.
