Question of a friend of mine:

"How hard is it to convert FS3 or FS2 AC to work in FS2004 0r FSX? We have a store here in town that you can trade your used books, videos, games. music disk ect. For cash or certificates to purchase other books, videos, games. music disk ect. I recently found, and purchased Just flights SR71 blacvkbird and Wings of power Aircraft power pack with 26 AC. Only paid $15 for both disk. The WOP disk, About half are Fs2004 and the other half are Cfs3. I would like to convert the Cfs3 files so I can use in Fsx or Fs2004. Can someone tell me how?"

Hi Sytse. Most CFS2 aircraft will work fine in FS9 without any conversion apart from possibly re-aliasing Panel or Sound. It's possible that some of these will work in FSX. The only way to find out would be to try them. CFS3 aircraft are completely different from any other version of FS/CFS so I'm afraid it's not possible to convert them to work in FS9 or FSX.
