I've just seen on the news here an emergency landing by a twin engine prop (the film quality was dire, probably a mobile phone jobbie), perfect job by the pilot and nobody hurt. Anyone got anymore details?

Just seen it one Sky News. Nice landing. Not sure what it is, but by the strakes on the tail and rear fuselarge I would go with Beach 1900

Great landing. Must be scary to do it though.

Kudos to the crew.  And to the engineers at Raytheon/Beech.

Yeah its a Beech 1900.  No other airplane is that ugly looking.  From what I hear though its a decent airplane to fly as far as commercial turboprops are concerned.  It appears that they still had the props turning as they touched down.  Its hard to tell since I can't make the video go full screen.  I'm not sure what the specific procedure is for that company or the airplane, but I would think I would want to feather the props just prior to a gear-up landing.  Hats off to those guys though.

Its weird...its ugly, and pretty spartan on the insides, but i am drawn to it for some reason.  Maybe its the kind of experience you get flying them.  For 18k a year.
