Not bad, Sytse!  Not bad at all!  Your "artist's eye" certainly carried over from screenshot-world to videos.  A few constructive points, if I may.

First, of course video is like any art, and it's all very personal.  My thoughts are obviously going to be nothing more than opinion, so take them for what they are.

You really hammered most of the basics.  You didn't hold any shot too long, you used angles and transitions to your advantage.  Lighting really helped add to the feel of the video.

That said, I personally didn't care much for the music.  With an approach like Kai Tak, I'd have chosen something upbeat and rockin'.  Kai Tak is a fast, hairy, beast of an approach - if you'd gone with music that represented that, the two would have complimented each other much better.  Similarly, I'd have thrown in a few "rapid fire" transitions as well.  Really quick shots to get the viewer's pulse racing.

That's as bad as it gets!  I really wouldn't change much else.   You might consider tweaking your CFG to remove the red messages at the bottom of the screen (or shooting it "live" and not relying on replay or recorded flights).  Also, there's an older version of Fraps floating around, it may be v1.9c or v1.9d (I can't recall which off the top of my head.)  That version does NOT have the fraps.com watermark on it.  Check around - it's still out there!

Keep up the good work - if this was your first, I can't wait to see more!

Thanks for the honest feedback and tips!  Smiley

I wasn't too sure about the music. I tried out some different styles and this was the only one that seemed to fit. I wanted it to be full of action, but also mysterious at the same time. Sing for absolution by Muse was the alternative, but I thought it was too dramatic. Radiohead isn't perfect either, but I couldn't think of something better...  Smiley

There are a couple of "errors" in the vid, but I'm ok with that. It's was just a quick windows movie maker project to get myself acqainted with FS movie making. I'll have to learn how to use adobe premiere to come up with some really good stuff. It'll take some time, but it's fun to do!

Were there errors?  I missed 'em!  If you're looking for music, one of my absolute favorites is FreePlayMusic.com - royalty-free tunes (instrumental) for non-commercial work, and you can search their database by "feel".  Looking for an aggressive song?  Click "Aggressive".  Doesn't get better than that!

Very nice.  I liked the way that it wasn't constantly jerkingly rotating you around the plane constantly like some other videos.  What music was that?

Thanks for that link, DF! That should come in handy! Smiley
One error, for example, is at 1:30. All motion stops as the shot fades out. It was not my intention, but I don't know why it happened...

Thanks, Bok!  Smiley The song was 'You and who's army' by Radiohead (as stated in the credits Tongue)
