For FS modelling, you don't need to worry about lights and cameras.
For that matter, the only time I've used lights and camera in an FS model was to position a camera at the pilot's viewpoint and take a screen shot to use as the 2D panel backdrop.

The FSX SDK comes with the it (deluxe version only).. and there are two service packs available..
If you don't already have the deluxe version it would be worth getting. Once you dive into aircraft design, that will be your smallest investment..

Un-scratch.. The SDK (software developement kit) is what you need TO make a GMAX plane for FSX
Which plane is it that you need ? I'll be there's one already out there, and I'll you'll need is to have it painted

A wing strut is an airfoil shaped stick that braces the wing to the fuselage (in the case of the typcial high wing CEssnas, etc.) IN the screenshot, the design is for a cantilever (no external bracing) wing.
