SimV LIVERY CONTEST deadline ext:16th July (Read 4579 times)

Hi all.

Not too long ago it was proposed in the aircraft wanted forums to have an official SimV airlines. I ended up translating this to Roger (A.K.A. Krigl) as a request for a SimV livery which can be placed on any aircraft.  Roger thought this a great idea and decided not to give the go-ahead himself and went higher, to Pete.

Pete has given the green light on this competition for the official, yet non-official, SimViation livery.

This gives all of the established repainters out there and those who wold like to give it a try the chance to be ascreative as you like in a bid to have your repaint named as the official SimV livery.

We know that those repaints that do not win cannot be just discarded and thrown in the rubbish and can be uploaded as is wished to SimV with no issues at all and therefore we cannot name the winner the "OFFICIAL" livery as there will still be otheres around that some people will prefer to use, so it will be the "Official Non-Official" livery of SimViation.  Wink

Well to business.

This allows you to experiment as much as you like with 2 entries per person allowed, you can use a GA aircraft, military ancraft or any from of civil aircraft to display your repaints, they can be as colourful and interesting as you like, or as business-like and plain as you want aswell. It is completely up to you!  Please post your entries as clickable thumbs right here and this contest is open to absolutely everyone!

Depending on the number of entries we will post a poll at the end for everyone to choose their favourite livery, if not then it will be Pete who is asked to choose the official non-official SimV livery.

This contest is open until Thursday the 21st June and the poll, if there is one, will be set up on the friday lasting for one week.

Remember to have fun doing this and lets see what you have got!

The only rules here are that you post 1 or 2 entries as clickable thumbnails
You must have all entries in by midnight on the 21st June, i.e. in 2 weeks time from now. (GMT)

If you would like a large copy of the SimV logo for use on your repaint I have one at hand, courtesy of Pete, so just PM me and I can send it to you.

Cheers all, and GOOD LUCK!
I would also like to thank Pete for giving us the green light ont this! ...

James

Awesome!  I can't repaint for anything Tongue but it'll be cool to see what some people come up with.

May I suggest to some of you repainters to repaint some AI aircraft that could be used at the SIMV airports...?

Sounds great! I too can't repaint well at all, but I could put forward a design and perhaps (if it won) those esteemed repainters could make it a reality?

Yes charlie it doesnt have to be a specified repaint, you dont need ot ti be high quality and already on an aircraft, if you like it can be as a design, if that design is then chosen then some repainters might be able to put that onto aircraft and make it real.

However it would be ideal if all the entries were fully complete repaints.  Cool
