Who here is old enough to remeber the first of the "no frills" airlines ?

I think it was circa 1982.. I can remember watching people board one of their 737s in a thunderstorm (no jetway) and seeing some guy come up at the last minute with a case of soft-drinks, a bag of ice, and the stewardess met him at the cabin door.. and paid him with cash ...lol
