I agree with DF. This shot looks great and you made the effect work, somehow! Now I'm gonna have to give this a good look to figure out what you did that made it work when it almost invariably doesn't!

so I have to use Paint.net.

The secret to this one is zoom blur...MUCH better than any other type of blur. Wink
